Rune Proportion
Dealing with the magical uses of Runes, it is even more important that one should stay strictly within the confines of runic proportions, for the Runes are carefully designed psychological triggers, and inelegant or inharmonious proportions can unleash some unpleasant phenomena, such as those darker aspects of the libido which the Nordic peoples depicted to themselves in the forms of the avaricious dragon Fafnir and the destructive wolf Fenrir.
In this diagram you can see the exact proportions of the runic letters.
The outside dimension of the Rune stone itself may or may not be of significance, however, we do know that the runic lettering must be precise. Traditional Runes still found today from ancient times traditionally are rectangular in shape, or if made from wood, round in shape.
